Report: Conducted the 2nd ASEAN-Hiroshima Eco-School in Indonesia (Education Programme on Marine Plastic Waste)

The ASEAN-Japan Centre (AJC) (co-organized by ASEAN Secretariat (tbc) and Hiroshima ASEAN Association and supported by Hiroshima Prefectural Board of Education and Hiroshima City Board of Education) conducted the 2nd ASEAN-Hiroshima Eco-School on November 24, 2021 at Nakamura School in Medan City, Indonesia.

46 elementary school students (aged between 6-12 years old) participated in the online lecture, based on the Pilot Project on “ASEAN-Hiroshima Eco-School.”

In this project, “Future Leaders” who presented “Future Leaders’ Declaration on ASEAN-Japan Cooperation for International Marine Plastic Waste” conduct the lectures. For Nakamura School, Ms. Nurlatifah (from Indonesia, PhD student, Chemistry Department, Kumamoto University, Japan) presented her lecture in English.
