Report: AJC Conducted the 3rd Online Lecture for the Hiroshima ASEAN Eco-School for Marine Plastic Waste Education (Pilot Programme)

ASEAN-Japan Centre (AJC) conducted the 3rd Online Lecture for the Hiroshima ASEAN Eco-School for Marine Plastic Waste Education (Pilot Programme) on October 1, 2021 at Nagisa Kouen Elementary School. Around 70 elementary school students between the age of 10 and 11 participated in the online lecture. This Programme is co-organized by Hiroshima ASEAN Association and supported by the Hiroshima Prefectural Board of Education and Hiroshima City Board of Education. 

In this Programme, the “Future Leaders” who developed “Future Leaders’ Declaration on ASEAN-Japan Cooperation for International Marine Plastic Waste” in connection with AJC’s FY2020 Programme volunteered to serve as lecturers for online lectures. For Nagisa Kouen Elementary School, Ms. FUJIKAWA, Machiko (Department of resources and environmental engineering, Graduate School of Creative Science and Engineering, Waseda University) presented her lecture in Japanese. The summary of the lecture programme is as follows. This session attracted a media coverage by TSS (Television Shin-Hiroshima System).
