Report: Conducted the 1st Online Lecture for the Hiroshima ASEAN Eco-School for Marine Plastic Waste Education (Pilot Programme)

ASEAN-Japan Centre (AJC) conducted the 1st Online Lecture for the Hiroshima ASEAN Eco-School for Marine Plastic Waste Education (Pilot Programme) on September 4, 2021 at Hiroshima Jogakuin Senior High School. Around 30 Senior High School students between the age of 15 and 17 years participated in this online lecture. This Programme is co-organized by Hiroshima ASEAN Association and supported by the Hiroshima Prefecture Board of Education.

In this Programme, the “Future Leaders” who developed “Future Leaders’ Declaration on ASEAN-Japan Cooperation for International Marine Plastic Waste” in connection with AJC’s FY2020 Programme volunteered to serve as lecturers for online lectures. For Hiroshima Jogakuin Senior High School, Ms. TRAN, Tien (who is from Viet Nam and currently enrolled in the Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies at Kyoto University) presented her lecture in English. The summary of the lecture programme is as follows.
