The ASEAN-Japan Centre (AJC) in collaboration with the Japan Institute of Design Promotion (JDP) have been actively promoting creative industries in ASEAN since 2017. The objective of this program is to share the values of “good design” as recognized by JDP’s Good Design Award –better known as G-mark- with the fast-growing economies of ASEAN and suggest the use of design to solve social problems, as well as encourage micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in ASEAN enhance their product/service designs to create new values and increase the marketability of ASEAN products in Japan through the better understating of the Japanese design market.
AJC also provides support for the establishment of respective national good design award systems in 6 ASEAN Member States (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Philippines), in association with the prestigious Good Design Award.
This webinar series aim to introduce the national design centers from participating ASEAN Member States as well as to showcase their recommended ASEAN Design Products and services based on craftsmanship and artisanal skills, which contribute to sustainable life-style, development of eco-friendly products, and improvement of productivity.
